Rowling's Latest Book Makes $6mn For Charity

The Tales of Beedle The BardThe latest edition of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter book, The Tales Of Beedle The Bard, has made a whopping $6 million for charity.

It was a known fact that the latest Harry Potter will break all records after it sold almost 370,000 copies in just the first week of its release. Rowling, the renowned author of the Harry Potter series, is more than elated to accumulate so much money for the noble cause.

"All royalties will be going to help children without families, many of them with disabilities, whose voices have been unheard for many  years," BBC quoted Rowling, as saying. "I am absolutely delighted that so much money has been raised. I would like to thank everyone who has so far purchased a copy," she added.

The funds from the sale of 'The Tales Of Beedle The Bard' will be donated to the Children's High Level Group (CHLG). "The project will certainly raise a huge amount to fund our work, giving hundreds of thousands of vulnerable children across Central and Eastern Europe a better life," CHLG's Richard Alderslade said.

"Each time someone opens a copy of Beedle this Christmas or gives it as a gift, they will be making a difference to the life of a vulnerable child living not so very many miles away," he added.
