What are you reading at the moment? What did you recently finish reading? What have you learnt from it?
At the moment I am reading a book called Harvard Business Essentials: Performance Management by Richard Luecke and Brian J. Hall, that I was using to enhance my ability to evaluate my employees in a positive manner. I recently finished the 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss. This is an incredibly insightful book that helps you understand as well as appreciate that it is possible to run a full fledged business, and yet have time to pursue the very things that we are earning money for, as well as hope to do in the long run. Another book I just finished was Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell which also made interesting reading.
The one book all leaders must read... - Who Moved My Cheese? . It is short, crisply written and drives home the point of being able to adapt quickly to changes around us in business. We can get caught up in bureaucracy, or move quickly - the choice is ours.
One book everyone in your sector should pick up... The Google Story by David A. Vise and Mark Malseed is a must read for everyone who is in the internet business, and understand the dimensions and possibilities that the internet allows. The book is inspiring for even the cynic.
What kind of books would you normally buy while travelling?
I tend to read self motivation, or spiritual books that prompt me to question myself, about what I do in life and why I do it. Alternately, I am also fond of good biographies of political leaders, business leaders or other people of influence. I have been particularly influenced by Osho and Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and their books, or something as hard hitting as the books by Donald Trump that are like a good wake up call. I recently read Barrack Obama's autobiography, Dreams From My Father that I also found inspiring, given his diverse background and where Obama is today.
Have you written any books? If not, do you plan to write in future?
I would love to write a book on my entrepreneurial journey as a woman running Astroyogi.com,in the future The other book I want to write, is one for working women which will be humorous and with lots of real life incidents in it. Who knows, perhaps I will combine the two!
The books you grew up with? What did you like most about it?
I was a diehard Enid Blyton fan as a child. I think her books allowed my imagination to soar, and given me the gift of being able to imagine I can be anything or anyone I want to be. I went through all the classics as I grew older.

Not really. I usually read two books at a time. One that is motivational or spiritual and the other is generally fiction with a good storyline. I enjoyed reading Cathy Kelly, great light reading for today's woman.
One book you cherish that you received as a gift... and who gave it to you. One book I cherish is a book presented to me by my father - Being Happy by Andrew Mathews. I have read this book so many times, that I have lost count. I have also presented this to many people as well in the last 10 years. It is simple and yet profound, and has had a last effect on me. I loved it so much that I wrote to the author to let him know!
